About us

We are a small hostel open to the public since 1975. We are located on the outskirts of Masos de Pals, in a rural and quiet area, 2 km from the town of Pals and 2 km from the beach.

Can Bassalis is the family's farmhouse, built in the mid-eighteenth century and renovated and expanded with the different needs of each era.

Teresa, the mother of the current owner, thought that it would be a good idea to take advantage of the rooms that were no longer used by the farmhouse to turn them into a hostel. When it was opened to the public it was with the intention of offering our clients a place to disconnect and enjoy the tranquility that our environment offers us. At the same time a perfect starting point to discover the most charming towns of the Empordà.

Currently, the business has been carried out by the second generation and with it, renovations and improvements have come to keep up to date and be able to offer the best to customers.

It has 7 double rooms, 3 of them with extra bed capacity. All have air conditioning, flat TV, free Wi-Fi internet, private bathroom with hairdryer, bathrobe and amenities.

Outside you have the pool with different landscaped areas to rest. Next, you will find the tent where breakfasts are served and the barbecue for free use for customers.

If you want to visit the best villages of the Costa Brava, you have them all very close. Peratallada is only 10 minutes away by car from the hostel, just like Begur and its incredible beaches.
